Development & Talent

We are involved with multiple programmes where young players have the opportunities to demonstrate their potential and talent. These programmes are for all players motivated and driven to improve their game, regardless of prior playing experience.

Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre

The Girls Emerging Talent Centre Programme is an FA hybrid model that compliments the grassroots game and will allow players to be part of an ETC alongside a grassroots club, school, or representative team. This aims to enhance the variety of playing experiences. For more information or to find your nearest centre, visit the England Football Website here:

The Centre is run jointly by Leyton Orient Trust and Leyton Orient Football Club.

We have now registered our players for the 23/24 season.

If you would like to attend our Open Sessions for the 24/25 season (details tbc), please complete this online form:

If you are a teacher/club coach/youth worker etc. and would like to put in a referral for a player - please complete this online form:

Discover My Talent:

We are actively involved in the FA and EFL Trust’s Discover My Talent programme, and are constantly on the look out for players within our sessions to refer. If you would like your daughter to be referred by us, they must attend any of our sessions throughout the week, or one of our Talent ID Events (these will always be listed here).

If you would like more information about the programme - please see here.

Pathways

16+ College Programme

We have a study programme aimed at young people who wish to study the sports and leisure industry in a professional vocational sports setting. There are opportunities for work experience and placements, as well as to gain additional qualifications and play football.

If you have a passion for sport and an interest in further study in this area, then come and attend a trial - there will be girls’ only groups at each trial - and meet the coaches and teachers on the programme.
